The Absence of "Meaning" and the Search for It：From Edmund Husserl to Jacques Derrida and Mark C.Taylor

Derrida argued that Husserl's work still remained in the analysis of constitution. He explored the difference in language itself and then delayed Husserl's geometrical dream of meaning in Introduction to Husserl's Origin of Geometry. Husserl studied geometry mainly through the historical way, which is obviously teleological analysis. Thus, in Erring：A Postmodern A/Theology, Mark C. Taylor took a typological survey on Bible and revealed the logos as a center in the constitution of history. Therefore, Taylor proved that Husserl's research on the meaning of geometry as the ideal objectivity was a kind of constitutive analysis. With the viewof Derrida and Taylor, the ideal objective meaning that had been attractive to Husserl became the absence forever. Even so，the inter-tension between the teleology of historical constitution and the eternal absence of meaning kept the passion of looking for meaning. Concurrently，this structure of inter-tension revealed will open a wider space for the multi-interpretations of the absence-meaning in history.
