Hermite reproducing kernel meshfree free and forced vibration analysis of Kirchhoff plates

A Hermite reproducing kernel meshfree method is present for the free and forced vibration analysis of Kirchhoff plates. This formulation provides a straightforward and robust way to construct C1 approximation to investigate the dynamic response of Kirchhoff plates. The Hermite reproducing kernel approximation of the plate deflection is formulated using the deflectional as well as the rotational nodal variables. The integration of the Galerkin weak form is carried out by the sub-domain stabilized conforming integration methdology. The resulting discretized equation can exactly satisfy the integration constraints associated with the bending exactness. In the time domain, the Newmark method is used to obtain the fully discretized equation. Numerical results indicate that the present method is very effective. ? 2011 IEEE.
