dc.description.abstractNew twelve complexes of rare earth with syn-2- (2'-aminothiazolyl-)-2-methoxyimino acetic acid (HL) have-been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, molar conductance, TG-DTA and H-1 NMR spectra. These complexes have the general formula REL3 (RE = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Er, Tm, Yb, Y). IR spectra indicate that the bidentate coordination mode of carboxylate ions to rare earth (III) ion in REL3 compounds. The electronic spectra of Nd3+ and Er3+ have been studied and the spectral parameters (<(beta)over bar>, b(1/2) and delta) have been calculated and discussed. The antioxidative activity and antibacterial activity have been studied.zh_CN
