Tension Between Cutting-edge Educational Technology and Current Chinese Higher Education

由教育技术牵引的＂第四次教育革命＂正悄然展开,如何正确看待新兴教育技术与其之间的关系,是教育者需要直面的问题。借由张力概念,在历史和现实视域下,分析了教育技术作用于高等教育的培养对象、教育理念、培养方式,以及高等教育的民主化、多样化、技术化等方面所产生的一系列变化。针对当前正在发生的第四次教育革命,从缓和资源分配、承担社会任务、顺应历史阶段等宏观层面,以及加强知识传播、改变知识学习、优化学习环境等微观层面,探讨了教育技术对于高等教育的影响。在此基础上,认为新兴教育技术对我国高等教育的张力,是高等教育内在需求与外部推动共同作用下的必然结果,高等教育工作者应顺应这一历史潮流。Approaching the emerging educational revolution, a basic yet crucial issue is whether educators have proper attitudes toward the relationship between educational technology and educational revolution. Employing the concept of tension, firstly, the role of educational technology in higher education was given from the two dimensions of history and reality, ranging from the variations in the degree of coverage, the educational idea, and the training mode, to the evolution in the democratization, the diversity, and the technicalization. Secondly, the role of the on-going educational revolution on current Chinese higher education system was discussed. It was demonstrated that, at macro-level, it would help to address the microscopic issues with which Chinese higher education is confronted, such as the considerable imbalance in the distribution of educational resource, the construction of the life-long educational social system, and the stage of universalization in the following years. While at micro-level, it provides a more advanced platform for knowledge dissemination, knowledge acquisition, and learning environment. On the basis of these analyses, it believes that there is a tension between cutting-edge educational technology and Chinese higher education, which results from the intrinsic demands of Chinese higher education and the external conditions it faced. To promote higher education further, educators have to comply with the expansion of educational technology and its application in higher education.
