A Critique of Post-modern Body Aesthetics and Construction of Lived Experience Aesthetics

传统西方哲学展开为身体失语的历史,直至后现代哲学,身体的话语权才得以确立,身体美学由此兴起。后现代美学具有一定的合理性。它确认了身体的地位,反抗了意识美学的霸权,并呈现出生活美学的指向。但同时,后现代美学亦存在偏颇。它主张身体性与精神的天然同一,却无视身体与意识在现实层面的区分,也缺乏对身心合一的有效论证;它经由身体来包纳意识,实际抹杀了审美的精神性;它鼓吹审美与生活的趋同论,以大众文化辩护者身份自居,实则取消了审美的超越性。对后现代身体美学的反思提示我们:必须建立体验美学,从而确立审美体验的身心合一性和超越性。Traditional Western philosophy ushered in the aphasiac history of the body, and it was not until the emer- gence of post-modem philosophy that the discourse power of the body was established, followed by the rise of body aesthet- ics. Post-modern aesthetics has its reasonability. It confirms the body＇s status, resists the hegemony of consciousness aes- thetics, and manifests the direction of life aesthetics. However, post-modern aesthetics also has its deficiencies. It advo- cates natural integration between corporeality and spirituality while ignoring the distinction between the body and the spirit at the reality level ; moreover, it also lacks the efficient argumentation of the identity between the mind and the body. It ar- gnes that the body contains Consciousness so the spiritual essence of aesthetic appreciation is actually obliterated. It prea- ches the integration of aesthetic appreciation and life, standing as the defender of mass culture ; thus, the transcendence of the aesthetic appreciation is actually cancelled. The introspection of post-modern body aesthetics impels us to establish lived experience aesthetics, thus confirming the integration between the body and the spirit, as well as the transcendence of the lived experience of aesthetic appreciation.
