A Study on the Faculty Development in Minzu Universities： From 1993 to 2013

20世纪90年代以来，民族院校教师队伍发生了剧烈变化，教师队伍规模迅速增长，职称结构由“钻石型”演变为“橄榄型”，生师比也快速升高。分析发现，高等教育宏观政策主导着民族院校教师队伍规模变化，本科教学评估促进了民族院校教师队伍职称结构调整，办学规模扩大直接导致民族院校生师比和师职比变大。要实现民族院校的转型发展，民族院校需要适度扩大教师队伍规模，持续优化教师队伍结构，大力提升教师队伍质量。Since the 1990s, great change have happened in the faculty team in universities for nationalities, with increasing scale, professional structure from the diamond shape to the olive shape, and the high ration between students and the faculty. It is found that the higher education macro policy dominated the scale change of faculty team in universities for nationalities; the undergraduate teaching evaluation promoted the professional structure adjustment; and the school-running scale caused the bigger ratio between students and the faculty, and the bigger ratio between the faculty and the staff. To realize the transformation development universities for nationalities, we should enlarge the faculty scale moderately, optimize the professional structure continually, and promote the quality of the faculty team construction.
