A Rational Reflection on Student-centered Concept

"学生中心"是目前课堂教学中的一个普遍追求,它既得到了政策支持,也有自身的理论基础。但学生中心的操作策略在实践中并不总是可以提高课堂教学质量,有时反而会走向相反的方向。因此,"学生中心"并不是衡量教学质量的标准,而只是一种课堂教学的组织形式。"学生中心"与传统文化观念不是那么兼容,我们对待"学生中心"的态度应该是谨慎采用,而不是盲目推广。Supported by the government and its theoretical basis,student-centered concept has been widely advocated and applied in the current teaching of China. Student-centered strategies cannot always well improve the quality of teaching in practice and it has negative effects sometimes. Student-centered concept cannot be regarded as a standard but only a kind of teaching approach. This concept does not comply with Chinese traditions and cultures. It should be carefully studied and used instead of promoting it blindly.
