Research on Precision Grinding Based on Uniform Wear Side of Wheel with Forward and Backward Motion

介绍了一种用砂轮端面磨削工件时,磨削点能够沿砂轮径向漂移,且砂轮在进给方向上可进让式进给磨削工件凸曲面轮廓的新工艺方法,建立了刀位计算模型,给出了算法、试验和分析。结果表明,新方法显著提高了砂轮的利用率和使用寿命,减小了工艺系统的变形,提高了制件精度,砂轮磨损后易于修整。对新方法与常用方法的加工误差进行了比较,表明新工艺更适合脆性超硬材料凸曲面轮廓的高精密磨削。A novel precision grinding technique was introduced for grinding workpiece’s convex surface. The grinding point moves in radial direction on wheel’s planar face, while the grinding wheel feeds simultaneity in forward and backward direction. The calculation model of cutting location was established,experiments and data were shown. The advantages were illustrated by achieving higher grinding precision, extending life span of wheel, reducing deformation of machining complex,and easierly dressed following dullness.Through comparison of the machining errors to conventional methods, it is suggested that the technique is an optimum option, in particular,for grinding convex surface of workpiece made of brittle and hard materials.
