A New View about Gao Qi’s Death
Gao Qi, the famous poet of the Ming Dynasty was dead for his close relationship with the politic power of Zhang Shicheng and his identity of a native of Suzhou. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Gao Qi lived in Suzhou under the rule of Zhang Shicheng and had a close relationship with him, meanwhile Gao Qi affirmed Zhang Shicheng quite a lot. After Zhu Yuanzhang unified China, he persecuted those who were attached to the power of Zhang Shicheng and the Suzhou natives. At that time, Gao Qi felt very sad and his article“Shangliangwen” was just the fuse of his being killed.
