A new location algorithm for mitigating NLOS in urban environment

由于非视距传播的影响,在蜂窝无线定位系统中存在许多误差.为了将定位估计误差减到最小,提出了城市环境下减轻NLOS影响的一种新的定位算法.该算法基于城区建筑物以块形规则排列,通过对NLOS问题进行优化,将NLOS误差减到最小,以提高定位精度.与其他算法相比,提出的算法适应只有3个NLOS基站的条件,更符合实际情况.对不同城市方案的仿真结果表明,所提出算法有更好的定位精度.Cellular- based wireless location systems usually generate big errors due to the effect of non- line- of- sight (NLOS) propagation. In order to minimize the location estimation error and to mitigate the NLOS effect, a simplified location technique for urban areas is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is based on the fact that in urban areas the buildings are usually organized in blocks. Therefore we employed the optimization method for the NLOS problem to minimize the NLOS error in order to improve the accuracy of the location estimation. Compared it with other algorithms, the proposed algorithm can adapt to the environment with only three NLOS base stations, better conforming to the real situation. The simulation results over different urban schemes have proved its effectiveness.
