The remarks appended to the lines of hexagram Yi(increase, the 42nd hexagram in the received version of the Zhouyi) relate closely to the historical event that the Western Zhou Dynasty moved the capital to Luoyi. The author attempts to compare the remarks appended to the six lines of hexagram Yi with the concrete steps of moving the capital: the monarch and his courtiers in the Western Zhou Dynasty divined for the location of Luoyi; Duke Zhou was dispatched to build Luoyi; and senior officials were posted there. From the above, this paper analyzes their inner correlation in detail.
