Comparing with other countries, the amount of Chinese emigration to Malaysia isn’t large. There are four types of such emigration: family-reunion migration, studying abroad, export of labour and investment migration, with the amount of labor export, the vast majority of which is illegal, far exceeding other types of international migration. We hold that the Chinese who have emigrated to Malaysia should abide by the local laws. While taking stronger measures against illegal intermediaries and felons of organized illegal migration, it is imperative for China to strengthen consultation and cooperation with Malaysia and give proper guidance to the emigration of Chinses professional talents and skilled workers to Malaysia.
