An Image Enhancement and Target Recognition Method of Low Illumination Contrast Based on Wavelet Transformation

提出了一种基于小波变换的低光照对比度或强噪声背景下图像增强与目标提取方法.低光照对比度情况下成像获得的图像进行处理分析、目标定位识别与跟踪都有一定困难,必须对其进行增强处理.根据图像的纹理统计特性,设计了专用于保护纹理特征的巴特沃思滤波器,对低光照对比度图像或强噪声背景下图像进行增强,可有效地克服低光照对比度图像或强噪声背景条件下进行处理分析、目标定位识别与跟踪造成的影响.实验结果表明:应用小波变换的多尺度分析方法和专门设计的巴特沃思滤波器,可较好地消除低光照对比度或强噪声背景下图像的干扰.An image enhancement and target recognition method of low illumination contrast and strong noise background based on wavelet transformation is presented. When it is difficult to proceed, analyze, track and locate the target position for the image obtained under the condition of low illumination or contrast, an enhancement processing method must be applied. According to the characteristics of image texture, a special Butterworth filter that protect the texture is designed to enhance the images under the backgrounds of low illumination or contrast and strong noise, it can overcome the influence of processing, target position and recognition and tracking on the condition of low illumination contrast and strong noise background. The experimental results show that applying the multiresolution method and Butterworth filter designed specially, it can effectively eliminate the interference in an image under 1ow illumination contrast and strong noise background.
