Oxidative coupling of methane and in situ FTIR spectra study of oxygen adspecies over SrF2/Nd2O3 catalysts
Abstract
For oxidative coupling of methane(OCM) at 750 degrees C the C-2 selectivity and yield over SrF2/Nd2O3 catalyst system were found to be obviously higher than those over Nd2O3. The in situ FTIR spectra were taken at OCM reaction temperature(700 degrees C) and showed that O-2(-) adspecies was observed on 50% SrF2/Nd2O3 catalyst, which might be the active and C-2 selective oxygen species.
