Three-dimensional derivative - Fluorescence spectrometry and its application to simultaneous determination of polyaromatic hydrocarbons by detecting total fluorescence intensity

Three-dimensional derivative - fluorescence spectrometry is first developed and applied to the simultaneous determination of polyaromatic hydrocarbons, naphthalene, pyrene and perylene, by measuring total fluorescence intensity. The results show that three-dimensional derivative-fluorescence spectrometry is superior in respect of selectivity to three-dimensional fluorescence spectrometry and the sensitivity, the signal to noise, of three-dimensional derivative - fluorescence spectrometry is improved by 10 similar to 20 folds. The analytical results of naphthalene, pyrene and perylene are satisfactory.
