Abstract
An electrodeposition technique was developed for fabricating bioactive hydroxyapatite (HA) coating on Ti-6Al-4V alloy at relative low temperature, XRD, SEM and ICP/AES were used to characterize the structure, morphology and chemical composition of the coatings, The galvanostatic electrodeposted HA coating is of 1.62 Ca/P molar ratio and has a uniform and porous structure, which is similar with the structure and composition of human bone, The reaction mechanism and influence of experimental conditions on HA coatings are also discussed.
