dc.description.abstractFe and Pd can react with nitroso R salt (NRS) to form green Fe-NRS complex and red Pd-NRS complex individually in the acid medium. It can be determined in an aqueous phase by first derivative spectrophotometry directly. The molar absorptivities of the two complexes were found to be 1.94 x 10(4) L.mol(-1).cm(-1) for Fe and 1.63 x 10(4) L.mol(-1).cm(-1) for Pd. The linear ranges were 0 similar to 5.6 mg/L for Fe and 0 similar to 7.0 mg/L for Pd. The relative standard deviation was less than 2.0%, and the recovery was 96% similar to 105%, The method is simple, rapid, reproducible and accurate. It has been applied to determine the Fe and Pd in the electroplating solution and electroplated layer of its alloy.zh_CN
