Active surface structure of AgMoO2PO4 center dot MoO3 catalyst for selective oxidation of propane

The active surface structure of AgMoO2PO4 .MoO3 catalyst was investigated by in situ confocal microprobe Raman spectroscopy, evaluation of catalytic performance, XRD and XPS techniques. The results show that MoO3 and [Mo7O24](6-) may be reconstructed to [Mo5O19](2-) under the reaction conditions. The. structure change only occurred on the catalyst surface, and thus [Mo6O19](2-) may be an active dynamic surface structure responsible for the better catalytic performance of selective oxidation of propane.
