Abstract
历史上高等教育作为社会分层的“筛选装置“曾经起到非常重要的作用。随着知识经济时代的到来,学历社会逐步向能力社会过渡,学历与文凭的独特作用已日渐式微,高等教育在促进阶层向上流动方面的充要条件也变得不那么充分。虽然高等教育作为人力资源配置机制在社会分层方面的功能已有所减弱,但是高等教育作为人力资源向上流动的重要渠道依然不可或缺,我国高等教育依旧是实现阶层分化和向上流动的重要途径。
 
Higher education used to play a very important role as a "screening device" for social stratification in history.With the advent of the age of knowledge economy, the diploma-oriented society has been making a gradual transition to an ability-oriented society.In this context, the role of higher education in promoting upward social mobility has been weakened.On the one hand, higher education as a mechanism of human resource allocation plays a less important role in social stratification.On the other hand, higher education as an important channel for upward mobility of human resources is still indispensable.In today's China, higher education is still an important way to social stratification and upward mobility, but it is not the only way.
