    • Solvable groups which do not possess characters of nontrivial prime power degree

Meng, Qingyun; Cao, Jianli; Du, Ni; 杜妮 (KOSSUTH LAJOS TUDOMANYEGYETEM, 2013)
In this paper, we consider solvable groups which do not possess characters of nontrivial prime power degree. In particular, for some of the minimal groups with this property, we characterize them and determine their structure.
    • Square character degree graphs yield direct products

Lewis, Mark L.; Meng, Qingyun; 孟庆云 (J ALGEBRA, 2012-01-1)
If G is a solvable group, we take Delta(G) to be the character degree graph for G with primes as vertices. We prove that if Delta(G) is a square, then G must be a direct product. (C) 2011 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
